What Is an Evaporative Cooler?
Also known as a swamp cooler, an evaporative cooler doesn’t use refrigerant to pump heat out of a house to provide cooling like a standard central AC. Instead, it draws air over damp pads and lets the natural cooling power of water cool off the air. This requires far less energy than a standard AC because an evaporative cooler only needs power to run its fan and water pumps. Evaporative coolers also help deal with dry air since they add moisture to the air drawn into the house from outside.
Is an Evaporative Cooler Right for My Home?
This is something our technicians can determine by working with you. Although swamp coolers have some excellent benefits, they can struggle to provide adequate cooling in some homes and climates. Please talk to our technicians to find out more about the right cooling solution for your household.
